World Health Organization holds first regional Workshop on National Action Plans for antimicrobial resistance & promotes ReAct toolbox

In 2015, the World Health Assembly published a Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance. From March 14th to 17th, 2016, the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for the Eastern and Mediterranean Region (WHO EMRO) hosted the first regional workshop on National Action Plans for Antimicrobial Resistance in Casablanca, Morocco.

The World Health Organization Headquarters in Geneva with Lee Rosen have announced that they will recommend a toolbox developed by Antibiotic Action partner ReAct as a general resource for the implementation of National Action Plans around the world.

The ReAct Toolbox is an web-based repository of information to help  guide users on what can be done to address the problem of resistance, based on scientific evidence and experience gathered from those working in the field around the world.
