Today [21 May 2013] Jeremy Hunt addressed  the World Health Assembly made up of representatives of all member states.  Discussion will be based on a report published by the Department of Health  Antibiotic Resistance – a Threat to Global Health Security and the Case for Action that details ways in which countries are tacking AMR.   Following the CMO’s challenge in her annual report in March, Professor Dame Sally Davies will jointly host a seminar on 22 May 2013 with the Swedish Health Minister. It will include speeches from senior officials from the Philippines, India and Australia.
