Hosted by the Federation of Infection Societies, Infection 2009 will be the largest and most significant meeting held in the UK to address the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious disease, both in the medical and surgical arena.
With an overarching theme of continuous quality improvement, the meeting will address all aspects of infection prevention, infectious disease and clinical microbiology, with a robust scientific programme that address current challenges and developments in opportunistic infections, zoonotics, antimicrobial resistance, emerging diseases, global public health issues, new and emerging technologies and much, much more.
The scientific excellence of the programme is evident, offering delegates the opportunity to hear keynote lectures, choose between concurrent symposia in their area of interest, meet the expert sessions, poster sessions, student teach-ins and debates, to name but some of the attractions offered. Experts from across Europe and as far afield as Nova Scotia will share their knowledge and experience with you.
The most prominent organizations, societies and disciplines have collaborated in the development of the scientific programme, including the Department of Health, Royal College of Nursing, British Geriatric Society, Intensive Care Society, National Concern for Healthcare infections and colleagues in veterinary and surgical and intensive care medicine.
