The BSAC will be holding a two day practical workshop to complement its Standardized Disc Sensitivity Testing Method. Based at Wolverhampton University, the course is aimed at those wishing to gain practical experience of the BSAC methodology.

Presentations will include:-
Susceptibility testing including testing difficult organisms
Implementation of the BSAC Method
Interpretation of susceptibility and the impact of mechanisms of resistance

Practical sessions will include:-
Inoculum preparation
Plate reading
Result interpretation

Every effort will be made to address the concerns of individuals and ample time will be made available for discussion.

The residential workshops are IBMS and CME CPD accredited. The course is majority funded by the Society. The registration fee will be £450.00 per attendee, which includes 2 nights accommodation, all meals (including welcome reception and course dinner), tuition fees and university laboratory fees.
