In 1999 the BSAC supported the development of the national Susceptibility Testing Methodology through the provision of a major research fellowship. Following completion of the fellowship in 2001, the Society established a designated fund through which it supports continued development of the methodology carried out at the Susceptibility Testing Method Centre based at City Hospital Birmingham.
Work in this area is overseen by a BSAC working party and a number of training courses and activities are undertaken each year. Further information, including the latest version of the methodology, can be accessed in this area of the website.
