Good Practice Recommendations for Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) in Adults in the UK: a consensus statement

The above named recommendations have been produced by a Working Party of the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and British Infection Association under the aegis of the UK OPAT Initiative www.e-opat.com

They are being issued for open consultation for a period of four weeks commencing Thursday 22 September 2011. The consultation period will end on Friday 21 October 2011. Following the consultation period the recommendations will be amended and submitted for publication in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and will be available open access from the time of publication.

The working party does not intend publishing the responses received, but copies will be made available for inspection.
