Memorial book for Professor Alan Percival

BSAC thanks members for submitting their memories of Professor Alan Percival who died on Thursday 6 January 2011 following a short illness. A memorial book has been created by Dr Norman Simmons and passed to his family and we are pleased to be able to share an electronic copy with you.

As a founder member of BSAC, the Society is indebted to Alan for his loyalty and leadership over the past 40 years. During his term as President, Alan was instrumental in securing the purchase of the Society's first HQ premises. A regular speaker and chair at BSAC events, Alan's contributions never ceased and at the time of his death he was donating his skills as a talented artist to prepare a portrait of our new premises to mark BSAC's 40th anniversary.

The funeral is taking place at 2.00pm on Wednesday 19 January at Emmanual Church, Cambridge Road, Southport.
