Educational Workshops 2010

Welcome to the 2010 Educational Workshop series, jointly hosted by the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC), Hospital Infection Society (HIS) and British Infection Association (BIA). These increasingly popular workshops are open to microbiologists, infectious disease consultants, scientists, pharmacists, infection control specialists and other interested health professionals working in the areas of infection prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Travel related infections pose challenges both in their diagnoses and treatment regimens. These workshops will offer delegates the opportunity to update their knowledge and share their skills and experiences. Through plenary lectures, interactive case scenarios and discussion delegates will receive instruction in the investigation of the returning traveller and debate/discuss a range of scenarios covering common and the more exotic travel related infections.
