To celebrate the society's land mark achievements over the last 40 years the 2011 Spring Meeting will examine and address the current position surrounding antimicrobial resistance surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship, multi-drug resistance, acinetobacter and more. We will share anecdotes of practice over the last 40 years and look towards the next 40 years and what the future holds for antimicrobial therapy.

We are delighted to be joined this year by Professor Brian G Spratt CBE FRS FMedSci, chair in molecular microbiology at Imperial College, London who will deliver the prestigious Garrod Lecture.
