Spring Meeting 2012

Joint HIS & BSAC Spring Meeting 2012
Multi-drug resistant Gram negative infections
Tuesday 20 March
Royal College of Physicians, London

Multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacterial infections are an area of significant unmet medical need. Most health professionals are seeing rising numbers of these infections in our critical care units and face increasingly difficult challenges of defining appropriate treatment and preventing spread.

We are proud to be delivering this joint meeting which will examine the current state of play and offer timely overviews on epidemiological aspects, laboratory issues, treatment options and outbreaks management.Delegates will also learn about the latest guidance from ARHAI, in addition to hearing from the Chair of the newly established HIS/BSAC Joint Working Party that will look at and develop authoritative recommendations both for treatment and prevention of transmission of these infections.

We look forward to welcoming microbiologists, infection prevention specialists, infectious diseases physicians, pharmacists, scientists, colleagues in industry and professionals allied to the field of infection and antimicrobial chemotherapy.

Delegates will have the opportunity to update their knowledge, share their skills and experience and take away ideas for new strategies for diagnosis and treatment.
