The BSAC Council is responsible for considering and approving all requests for support and funding. Council meets in January, April, July and October of each year. Its financial year is January - December. The budget is approved at the October meeting each year. Council does have a contingency fund from which it can award funds at any point during the year; however requests for significant expenditure should ideally be submitted to the July meeting for inclusion in the budget for the following financial year.
On receipt applicants will be notified of the date of the meeting at which the request will be considered. Applicants may be invited to attend Council, either in person or by web/teleconference link to present their proposal. Decisions will be notified within 5 working days of the meeting at which the request is considered.
