Governance

The Memorandum and Articles of Association (MAA) is the statutory instrument that governs the operation of the BSAC. The MAA can only be amended with the approval of the Charity Commission.

The Regulations, that can be amended by Council, further define the MAA and establish operational procedures for BSAC business.

The Standing Orders for Committees and Working Parties outlines the framework within which working party business is conducted.

The Register of Interests offers provisions for declarations of interests and withdrawal from meetings and aims to prevent individuals from being influenced, or appearing to be influenced, by their private interests in the execution of their duties on behalf of the Society. The BSAC Register of Interests is updated annually and is available from the link on the right of this page.

The BSAC Claim Form gives guidance on expenditure and expense claims.
